Hardy
Geraniums, not to be mistaken for pelargoniums, are more
commonly referred to as cranesbill due to the seed pods of
some species resembling the bill of a crane. They are a
fantastic addition to any garden particularly cottage gardens
or for use in informal borders. |

|
The genus contains a large
number of flowering annuals, biennials and perennials and
generally speaking if a plant is labelled ‘hardy geranium’
you can be sure that you are getting a true geranium as
opposed to the less hardy pelargonium varieties. |
